Here's how to return it to its owner

ℹ️
Unknown tracker?
Apple and Google have jointly released a cross iOS/Android standard for detecting unknown trackers. On both platforms your phone may warn you that “a tracker has been moving with you” — this is an anti-stalking safety feature, not a sign that you are being followed.
How do I return it to its owner?
🍎
Apple · iPhone / iPad
« Find My » s'appelle « Localiser » dans les appareils Apple en français.

Open the Find My app → tap Items → scroll to the very bottom → tap “Identify Found Item”, then follow the on-screen instructions.

If the owner stored their contact details on the tag, you'll see them here — use them to contact the owner.

🤖
Android

Open Settings → Safety & emergency (on some devices called “Personal safety” or “Safety”) → Unknown tracker alerts → Scan now.

Your phone lists the trackers it detected near you. Tap one to see its details — if the owner enabled “Lost Mode”, their phone number, email and message will be shown here: contact them to arrange the return. This option can also make the tracker ring, so you can confirm it's the one in front of you.

But if the original owner didn't store any contact details — all data is encrypted — we're unable to help you find them either.
